I LOVE THAILAND. I love that they made an MV about a lesbian relationship where they were already in love, where they were past the "omg lezbeeanzz ohnoez" drama of Zee's first MV. (Which was also amazing and kind of groundbreaking considering how RS artists immediately become part of mainstream Thai culture -- toms were already pretty visible, but like any part of the LGBT community, they were largely ignored in pop culture. Now they're not. And Zee is being portrayed as someone it's okay for any girl to date, straight or gay, which makes me even happier; she's not being marketed as just a gay icon. I love it.) At first I thought it was going the same route as her first MV -- guy/girl vs girl/girl -- but that's not it at all. This MV doesn't give a damn about the gender of the people involved. It's a story of loss, pure and simple. ALSO CAN I SAY THAT MAINSTREAM OR NOT, ZEE ACTUALLY KISSED THE GIRL AND AHHHHHHHH I WAS SO SHOCKED AND HAPPY. SO. SO. HAPPY.

Recent tpop things:

-Clash are breaking up! DDD: I never got into them that much -- I know they're classic and I enjoy their music, but I figured they were like Potato or Bodyslam, and I could just wait until their next release to spazz over them. And they just released their latest MV and a;sdlkf;asdkasf it's so goooooood and FUCK IT'S THEIR LAST. ;__________; I knew that going in and I thought I'd be okay with it, but I ended up crying anyway. :((

-Instinct and Retrospect both have new songs! I was pleasantly surprised with them both, but I AM IN LOVE WITH INSTINCT'S SONG. *______* It has a kind of 90s sound, ahaha. Or ... a SMAP sound, almost. Idk. It's good.

-Potato filmed their new MV today! Or yesterday in Thailand. THEY ALL LOOK SO GOOD, UNF UNF UNF. I think I might be Potato-sexual. Mostly Pup-sexual, but Ome and Kan are looking damn fine, too, a;lkfalsd;. As is Win. I think. It's kind of hard to tell with the shadows in his face like that.

-Bodyslam's Genesis of Thought MV is ... not new, but I wasn't on LJ when it came out, so I couldn't spazz about it. I love that little face twitch Toon does at about :29, idk why. It's just about the only time I've ever found him attractive, haha.

Expect a release post sometime this weekend? And maybe the formation of ontd_thailand if I decide I'm up for creating a new comm. I plan on eventually making intro posts for a lot of the new groups/singers, too. :| And a spazz post about C-Quint's very-much-not-new MV in my next entry, since I was bahleeted when it first came out.

I couldn't choose. D: Um, K-otic are what got me into tpop in the first place, and they'll always hold a special place in my heart. I love them and I love their antics and how they interact. I love how they're not very fanservice-y but they're all clearly BFFs, and how the fanservice moments stick out all the more because they're so few and far between. I love all the random things they get up to and the sometimes awkward tweets they make (toilet is my soulmate lol!!!) and how happy they are all the time. Or um. Most of the time. And I love how much they love the fans (Koen's the one you see it with the most, like how he has contests on his vlog to give gifts to the fans and how he promised all the international fans he'd treat them to dinner if they could come to the KZ Wave concert, but you can see it with the rest of them as well; they're really connected to their fan base, and I think that's amazing and awesome). They're my first tpop group and I'm sure they'll the be last one I'll fall out of if I ever leave the fandom. They're just special. ♥

C-Quint took me a little longer. I didn't like their music at first and there isn't much of an active international fanbase, so it was hard gathering information, but these guys are adorable. They're supposed to have this ~badass~ image, but they're really just full of fail and they're easily as close as K-otic. In the cases of Bank/Fluke and Pitt/Yoshi, I really think they might actually be closer. They're easier to ship; Bank is always watching or touching or just hovering near Fluke to the point where he's a little like a overprotective boyfriend crossed with a lovesick puppy, and Yoshi and Pitt just seem to interact on a different level than how they interact with everyone else. Or maybe I'm just delusional and reading too much into things. Point is, they're dorks offstage and amazingly sharp onstage and it makes me flail inside. A lot.

Zee is so groundbreaking in every way, I just wish I enjoyed her music. ;___; I will watch this mv and try again! I really admire the thai entertainment industry for marketing her the way she is and not trying to gloss anything over. :)

You... made... a 30 days meme. I HATE YOU AND I LOVE YOU. I'm so doing this, and I feel lame because my first day will probably be exactly the same. I don't think I've told you, but I've seriously fallen for C-Quint HARD the pass couple weeks. You got their names right! Bank and Fluke look nothing alike to me, but I've been staring at so many Bank photos... well it's not healthy and it's easy for me, that's all. XD You are not delusional about the pairings at all, either! I see Bank/Fluke touching like every five seconds and I agree completely that Bank follows him around like a little puppy and it's so precious. ;____; Yoshi and Pitt seem like the bff kind of pairing and they're both hilarious, so shipping them seems natural. :)
