What bugs me the most is the replies to that omona entry from people saying "but I like to be looked after by my boyfriend, so what Teuk said isn't offensive to anyone". There's a difference between someone paying for your meal or opening a door for you or whatever to be polite and nice and doing it because they think you're so weak and stupid that you can't possibly pull open a door with your tiny lady T-rex arms on your own. And there's also a difference between someone saying "if a woman wants to take on a more traditional role, that's fine as long as it's what makes her happy" and someone saying "all women should take on that traditional role because it's all they're good at/because they're so weak and pathetic we can't possibly let them do proper manly stuff". What Teuk said, much as I love him, is closer to the latter and that's harmful to women.
