I found this fun little blog today that's made bentos of all five Shinkengers. They're adorable! (Whoever did this did Go-on Black as well -- probably all the Go-ongers, maybe some earlier series too?) I'm trying to resist tinhatting about the fact that there's green wrapped all the way around Red's bento, but IT'S REALLY HARD. I watched the Star Trek movie today! I'm thinking about going again and dragging a different groups of friends to see it because it was surprisingly good. I loved Spock and McCoy and Scotty, and I liked that Uhura played a bigger role than I remembered from the original movies. (I know, I fail as a fan. I never saw TOS, just the movies. D:) OH MY GOD, THE SPOCK/UHURA KISSES WERE SOME OF THE BREATHTAKING I'VE EVER SEEN. The way she obviously cared about him so much and the way he was so reserved, a;slkdf;jasldkfj;asd. They had me melting in my chair.
The fight scenes were beautiful and I was happily surprised to find that Leonard Nimoy had more than thirty seconds of screentime. ALSO THE END. Hearing Leonard Nimoy give the 'to boldy go where no-one has gone before' speech made my heart stop. &hearts
On the down side, Chris Pine is completely gross, and Liz came away shipping Spock/Kirk. WHAT THE HELL. THERE WAS NOTHING SHIPPY IN THAT FILM, WHY IS SHE SHIPPING THAT. DDD: I think it might actually have to do with the fact that I told her Spirk was one of the original slash-slash ships, and now she's decided it's practically canon. >:[[[ Not that I dislike Spirk, but as far as movie!continuity goes ... ew. No. DD:
I keep meaning to talk about the April JE releases, but I suppose that will have to wait a little longer.Or not happen at all.
